ITA Learn To Meditate explores meditation through the ITA understanding of energy. In short, ITA holds that all things within this world including human beings are made up of energy. When we understand, even at the most basic level how the human energy system works, we can work with it to improve our overall state of well being.
ITA Learn to Meditate is designed to give you an awareness of the core dynamics at the heart of all forms of meditation. This provides you with first hand experience of a broad range of styles, techniques and tools so you can choose an approach that is best for you. Everyone can and does meditate in their own way.
What we do in the ITA Learn To Meditate course is show you how to become fully conscious of this ability, so you can make the most of it in each moment.
Founder of the ITA Approach to Meditation
Melaney Ryan is a forth generation energy worker with over 30 years of clinical experience as an energy therapist. She is the founder of the Australian Stillpoint Institute and developer of the ITA Energy Medicine and Mahat Meditation systems. All ITA Learn to Meditate course facilitators have trained directly with Melaney Ryan.
What is covered in TA Learn To Meditate
Breathing techniques for achieving:

This is a four-week, 2 hour meditation course to introduce people to the world of meditation.  Learn to Meditate is suitable for anyone including:
  • Beginners (with some or no meditation experience)
  • Past meditators (refreshing their meditation practice)
  • Experienced meditators (who would like to deepen their meditation practice)

  • Our aim in meditation is to cultivate inner stillness and a deeper connection to self.
  • Meditation enables us to relax the mind, monitor the thoughts and maintain a focused awareness.

You will learn about the practical aspects of meditation, practice a range of meditation techniques and receive detailed course notes for your reference. Some of the topics covered include:
  • Effective times to meditate
  • The breath and how it builds energy
  • Is there a correct meditation posture?
  • Creating space for meditation
  • Hindrances you may encounter
  • Different meditation tools and how and when to use them
  • Visualization
  • Monitoring the thoughts

The class will run for a minimum of 4 people.  If you cannot attend every session date and time, you can make up that class at another group session.
